Year 9 students compete in Performing Shakespeare regional final
Posted on: 02/05/2025We are exceptionally proud of the three Year 9 students, Poppy Jenkins, Caitlin Mason and Catherine Cairns, who performed brilliantly at the ESU Performing Shakespeare Regional Final held at Sir William Borlase's Grammar School yesterday. Poppy performed a monologue from A Midsummer Nights Dream, while Catherine and Caitlin performed a duologue from As You Like It. All three girls performed these complex scenes with a maturity and understanding of Shakespeare well beyond their years! Sadly, there could only be one winner and we missed a spot at the National Final this year. We are immensely proud of their dedication and talent, especially as they were the only competitors from a state school.
