Posted on: 11/07/2025

On Monday evening, the PE Department celebrated the commitment and success of our students in sport and sports leadership. We welcomed 200 students from Year 7-13 and their parents/guardians to the Sports Awards ceremony. Individual students were awarded medals for Players' Player, Most Improved and Coach's Choice, and all participants were given certificates to recognise their commitment to pc28¿ª½±ÍøÕ¾ clubs and fixtures this year. The big awards of the evening were presented to Sports Person of the Year as follows:

Year 7: Evelyn Edgington; Year 8: Emilia Essen; Year 9: Phoebe Butler; Year 10: Scarlett Essen; Year 11: Katie Williams. The Outstanding Contribution to pc28¿ª½±ÍøÕ¾ Sport award went to Year 13 student Charlotte Noyce, for her relentless enthusiasm for Swimming and support of the PE department throughout her time at pc28¿ª½±ÍøÕ¾ and D6. The Empowered Sports Leader award went to Year 10 student Erin Hamilton for her dedication to coaching the Year 7/8 Netball club. The Team of the Year award went to U14 Football Team.

The evening was an outstanding success with exceptional showcase performances from Year 9 and 10 Acro Gymnasts, Year 8-13 Trampolinist and speeches from students in Year 10,11 and 12 and ex- student Imogen Hooper, who is currently working as a WSL Football Referee. To present our awards, we welcomed Bristol Bears and England Rugby player Dr Phoebe Murray, who gave us an insight into what it takes to excel both in sport and academics.
