Year 10s visit Swanage on Geography trip
Posted on: 16/06/2025Last week, GCSE Geographers in Year 10 went on a very exciting field-trip to Swanage beach.
Swanage is located on the Dorset coast, in the Southwest of England. As one of the UK's coastlines with high erosion rates, students analysed the impact of Longshore Drift upon the sea defences. Students conducted Groyne measurements and investigated the opinions held by local people.
We were so very fortunate to have glorious sunny weather, as our students worked diligently all day.
Team Geography were been blown away by the hard work, focus and respect that all of our Year 10 Geographers demonstrated throughout the day. A huge well done!
